Launch of the First Call for Projects at Farm’InnLab, AgroParisTech’s Agricultural Innovation Platform
February 29 2024On Thursday, February 29, 2024, Farm’InnLab, the collaborative experimental space dedicated to agricultural innovation in the service of agroecological and energy transitions, launched its first call for projects (CFP) at AgroParisTech’s booth at the 60th annual International Agricultural Show in Paris. The CFP will be open to applicants until March 27, 2024.
Farm’InnLab: An Agricultural Innovation Platform at the Grignon Experimental Farm
Farm’InnLab is a collaborative experimental space dedicated to agricultural innovation in the service of agroecological and energy transitions.
Objectives
- Assist innovative project developers by bringing scientific and technological expertise to the table;
- Make resources available (land, livestock, and buildings), in addition to tools for analysis and metrological expertise for the development of prototypes and/or the implementation of experimental processes;
- Encourage sharing and collaboration between students, faculty, technical staff, and project developers;
- Offer workspaces close to experimental facilities;
Provide access to the AgroParisTech ecosystem.
Who is Farm’InnLab for?
Farm’InnLab provides support for AgTech projects in the areas of: livestock production (small and large ruminants); crop-growing (large crops, animal feed); on-farm energy production (methane digestion, agrivoltaics, etc.). With the aim of developing new equipment, agricultural inputs, or software to boost agricultural production.
It is suitable for companies, young entrepreneurs, or student entrepreneurs looking to develop an innovative agricultural project.
Tristan Brancaz – Head of Farm’InnLab“Joining Farm’InnLab is a way of gaining access to the AgroParisTech ecosystem, enabling the elimination of scientific and technical obstacles with the help of our experts and through the use of the land on the Grignon Farm that is made available for experiments, as well as offering the possibility to set up shop just across from the experimental field.”
The First Call for Projects Launched at the Paris International Agricultural Show
Applications to join Farm’InnLab are open from February 29 to March 27, and can be submitted via: https://agroparistech.vianeo.com/fr.
A committee of experts and qualified partners will meet to select projects on the basis of their ability to help address the needs of the livestock, crop-growing, and bioenergy production sectors, with interviews subsequently held in April. Selected projects will be able to join Farm’InnLab in early May.
Shortly after arriving, project developers will have an opportunity to present their innovation on May 22 at the second annual Farming Innovation Day in Grignon.
