
Agnès Ricroch, recipient of the 2025 Trophées de la Réussite au Féminin
June 23 2025Lecturer and researcher at AgroParisTech, Agnès Ricroch is renowned for her expertise in plant biotechnology and her involvement in debates on agricultural and food transitions. For her career and contributions, she is one of the recipients of this year’s Trophées de la Réussite au Féminin, awarded by the France Euro Méditerranée association, where she represents France. The award ceremony was held in Paris on Friday, June 20, at the Palais du Luxembourg under the patronage of the Senate and in the presence of Senator Laurence Harribey.

France Euro Méditerranée has been working for over twenty years to strengthen ties between countries in the Euro-Mediterranean region through cooperation, intercultural dialogue, and the promotion of women’s success in all its forms. Each year, the Trophées de la Réussite au Féminin recognize nine exceptional women from different countries and civil society for their exemplary careers. This distinction aims to highlight their inspiring careers, as women who are committed to key sectors of society and who put their regular activities, specific skills, and unique trajectories at the service of humanity without exclusion or borders. The Women’s Success Award is thus establishing itself as a valuable indicator of the role of women in building a peaceful and fraternal society.

The recognition awarded to Agnès Ricroch honors her expertise in plant biotechnology, her scientific contribution to plant improvement, and her ongoing commitment to sharing knowledge. A lecturer at AgroParisTech, researcher at Paris-Saclay University, and member of the French Academy of Agriculture, she is a recognized expert in new genetic selection techniques and agricultural innovations. She has published seven books in French and English. Agnès Ricroch is regularly featured in the media and public debates on plant biotechnology. She participates in numerous expert groups and scientific conferences in France and abroad. Through her commitment, she helps train engineers and researchers who are fully aware of the societal and environmental challenges facing the agriculture of tomorrow.
