A Student Delegation at the Bonn Climate Intersessional
May 30 2024Four AgroParisTech engineering students attended the Bonn Climate Change Conference, held from June 3 to June 13 in Bonn, Germany. This summit, commonly referred to as the “Bonn Intersessional,” is home to negotiations that take place between each COP to prepare the measures that will go on to be finalized and adopted at the following COP.
Our Environmentally Conscious Engineering Students
Camille Gravière, a 1st-year engineering student on a work/study program with the environmental police department of the DREAL (Regional Department for the Environment, Land-Use Planning, and Housing), is committed to advocating in support of the appeal she and her fellow AgroParisTech students are developing, and is interested in addressing the issues of “agriculture” and “loss and damage” in climate negotiations.
Victoire Jouhanneaud, a 1st-year student, is interested in the topic of water in agriculture, and hopes to attend negotiations on this theme to help gain an understanding of the complex underlying issues involved, which depend on the positions of each country.
Arthur Lehuby, a 2nd-year student, is completing an apprenticeship with the DREAL (Regional Department for the Environment, Land-Use Planning, and Housing) of Normandy. He sees having observer status as a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain insight into the obstacles that arise during negotiations and to explore effective means of taking action.
Perrine Paccard, a 2nd-year student, is interested in the topics of water and agriculture, and would like to cultivate her knowledge at these negotiations and meet with stakeholders from across the globe.
